|Beautiful and highly practical, the Sussex Trug has been used in gardens since the 19th century. It can be used to collect fruit, vegetables or cut flowers as well as to carry gardening items.
The frame is made from coppiced sweet chestnut and the boards and feet from willow.
Our trugs have long been made by the same family and we still have trugs at Great Dixter that were made by the present maker's father for Christopher Lloyd's father, Nathaniel Lloyd.
